CHRISTOPHER TROTTA, AIA is the President of levelHEADS, Inc. founded in January 2013. Chris is also Director for Design for the Trident Group, Ltd and Lead Design Architect for Signet Development. Chris has shaped his career around creativity, relationships, service and trust and has over 25 years of experience in the design and construction fields.
Chris has led small and large institutions through major capital campaigns while applying his sensitivity to Design in all his work. As a trusted advisor to C-Suite executives, levelHEADS was born out of the need for a more reliable and trusted advisor whose motive is finding the right solution to solve a complex operational issue or new business strategy.
levelHEADS' focus is turning our client's mission, vision, and values into successful Processes + Projects that represent their organization's commitments to those they serve. LevelHEADS has a unique perspective of finding the balance between a company's Business Directives and Design Excellence. Accountability, Efficiency, and Quality top our list for measures of success.
The "levelHEADS" brand has three distinct meanings. First, the "level" icon represents our proud focus and experience within the design and construction industries. Second, "level-headed" thinking is the foundation to our strategic planning and lean/six-sigma approach to design. Last, the three figures signify our dedication to collaboration, diversity, our staff, and the communities we serve.
TODD FODOR is an experienced Designer and Project Manager with over 20 years of involvement in the architectural field. He develops functional and aesthetic solutions for clients primarily in educational, institutional, commercial and industrial settings. His attention to detail and technical expertise are his primary focus and has led to multiple repeat clients and many successful project outcomes of the years. Todd is a recent addition to levelHEADS and offers expertise in disciplines and new regions that the firm currently wants to gain greater traction within.
MARISSA PETROVIC serves as a Project Designer, Construction Administrator and CAD/REVIT Manager. She has been with levelHEADS since 2013 and has provided project support on most of the firm's projects since inception. Client's appreciate her attention to detail, responsiveness and willingness to listen and satisfy project expectations. Current Marissa is providing contruction administration services for a 130,000 Customer Services Center renovation for University Hospitals. She also has great experience with the Veteran's Administration and has work on multiple helathcare projects.
TONY MIKSITZ, RA provides support as a Senior Project Architect and leads levelHEADS' initiatives in the Mid-Atlantic Region, centered around Philadelphia, PA. His 25 years of experience covers all building types, with a strong presence within the healthcare, commerical and residential markets. He provides project leadership in the form of site due diligence, QA/QC, Equipment Planning and Contract Document detailing. Currently Tony is supporting a Cath Lab project in Philly and a Central Sterile Processing renovation PA.
TAMMY POLENZ, CPT provides levelHEADS specialized health & wellness design expertise from being involved in the fitness industry since 1991 as personal trainer, club manager, corporate wellness consultant, and gym owner and designer. Tammy, Author of Think Fit 2 Be Fit and President of Vedas, has a passion for holistic fitness and bringing this unique perspective to levelHEADS by creating interior environments focused around an individual's heart, soul, body and mind. Tammy will also provide project & client management.
GREG SARVER, RA joined levelHEADS as a Project Architect in 2016 to support our commerical and residential markets through his 26-year design and administration experience. Greg is a Certified Passive House Designer and will apply this knowledge to our commercial projects and advance sustainability within the company. Part of his role with levelHEADS includes site surveying, construction document production, and products research and implementation.

SHEILA CAHNMAN, AIA, FACHA, LEED AP has devoted her career to design innovation for healthcare facilities throughout the world, with an emphasis on improving the patient, family and caregiver experience. Sheila has in depth experience in medical facility planning and supports levelHEADS in that capacity. In 2010, She was named one of the top twenty-five most influential in healthcare design by Healthcare Design magazine and has presented at over 30 healthcare design conferences and published over 20 articles. Sheila started her firm JumpGarden Consulting, LLC in 2015, a certified Women's Business Enterprise.
HENRY BUTLER provides levelHEADS with diversity and supply chain consulting and is at the leading edge of inclusion initiatives and partnering. Henry guides corporations as well as small, disadvantaged contractors and service providers within the regional marketplace to broaden opportunities for diverse commerce. His background includes serving as Deputy Director of the Mayor's Office Office of Equal Opporunity for the City of Cleveland (under Voinovich/White) and as a financial services provider for over 30 years. Henry is President and CEO of LCR Enterprises, a MBE company, and has collaborated with Trotta/levelHEADS on multiple projects including diversity, furniture, logistics planning and sustainabiilty consulting services.
JULIA SCHUMACHER, ASID, IIDA, NCIDQ provides levelHEADS the highest level of professional interior design with a holistic, user-centered approach. Her solutions integrate interior architecture, lighting and furnishings to support our Client's objectives. Currently, Julia is working on levelHEADS' Veteran's Administation, Healthcare, and Health and Wellness projects. Schumacher Designs, her female-owned firm, is a valued, creative and innovative partner on the majority of levelHEADS' work. She is committed to honest and ethical business relationships and ensures a climate of dignity and respect for all.
JOHN RICHARDS promotes successful brand integration and consistency of communication and consistency of experience. John's approach to architecture and levelHEADS specifically includes signage and wayfinding design, fabrication and installation, brand strategy, and brand experience. As President of Richards, they balance aesthetics with the science of understanding how visitors perceive their environment while navigating an unfamiliar space. John and levelHEADS has collaborated on multiple healthcare projects, facility assessments, and marketing/branding strategy.
ERIN MCGUINESS and McGuiness Unlimited collaborate with levelHEADS on project construction cost estimating and Owner's Representative services. most recently with levelHEADS with Menorah Park Center for Senior Living and an 8-story parking deck and assisted living tower in Beachwood, OH. Erin has a diverse background in the engineering and construction industries with over 20 years of cost control and budget management serving public sector clients. She has a proven track record of delivering projects on schedule and within budget. McGuiness Unlimited is an FBE/EDGE firm.
GEOFF VARGA provides levelHEADS with code and zoning reviews, quality assurance and quality control, third party inspection services, and constructibilty reviews. Geoff has professional experience including director of Architecture, Senior Project Manager, and Project Designer for a wide variety of corporate, institutional and commercail building projects. Currently Geoff has assisted levelHEADS on Cornerstone Market & Deli, University Hospitals Customer Services Center, and Selectrode Warehouse expansion projects in 2015. Geoff is a registered architect.
RENE NIEMOLLER has over 30 years of experience providing planning, design, programming, and construction administration services to numerous healthcare and retail Clients and facilities. Rene provides levelHEADS with specification writing and QA/QC services. He has participated on our Veteran's Administration and municipal projects including Cath/EP Lab, Same Day Surgery unit renovation and a water treatment plant. His attention to detail, responsiveness to deadlines, and the quality of his work makes Rene a valueable resource and member of our contract document production team.
STACEY POLK has more then 20 years expereince as legal counsel, consultant and executive to for profit and nonprofit organizations (including politcal bodies). Stacey has served as Assistant Director of Economic Development for the City of Cleveland and engaged in private law practice as well as economic development and sustainability consulting and environmental services. She supports levelHEADS with sustainability and logistic planning while educating levelHEADS on matters pertaining to inclusion initiatives. Stacey currently is a partner with LCR Enterpises where she has collaborated with Chris Trotta on healthcare and higher education projects.
